May Is Abs Month At Forest Vance Training Inc.

May is officially abs month at Forest Vance Training, Inc.  We’ll be smoking your abs all month – and with swimsuit season right around the corner, there’s no better time than now to get it going!!

Here are three tips to help you maximize your efforts:

1. Dedicate yourself for the next 30 days

While we’re going to focus on hitting your abs at the gym, your diet plays a huge role in the process.  If you don’t know what you need to do, check out this post:

2. Work your abs the right way

You don’t need to do 1000 crunches a day.  It’s about quality over quantity.  Planks, Hanging Leg Raises, and believe it or not, old-school Sit Ups, are all great exercises.  The key is to make sure you’re using perfect form and getting all you can out of each rep.  Check out this article:

3. Train the rest of your body, too

You’re not just working your abs when you’re doing ab-specific exericses, like crunches or sit ups.
‘Functional-training’ – body weight exercises, free weights, kettlebells – are all excellent ways to work
your abs.

So get fired up for May!  It’s abs month!
