The original ’300′ workout was designed by Mark Twight for the cast of the movie 300 (see trailer above). The actors, as you can see, are in amazing physical shape! Interestingly, the workout that surfaced and gained quite a bit of underground popularity was not, in fact, a regular workout done by the actors. It was more of a ‘test’ of their physical condition (and mental toughness) that they were put through at just one point in training. If you check out the above website, however, the ’300′ workout is seemingly representative of the workout style that was used to get the actors in such phenomenal physical condition.
The following workout I put together was inspired by the original 300 workout; it uses just body weight exercises and one kettlebell. It’s a tough one! Give it a go:
20 Push-Ups
20 Kettlebell Swings
20 Sit-Ups
20 Kettlebell Swings
20 Squats
Repeat entire circuit three times as fast as possible.
