Workout Update

Update on how my own personal workouts are going so far this week:

-After a month or so of mostly bodyweight work, beginning to incorporate some heavier stuff into my workouts.  Monday was five sets of five on both bench and push press along with some shoulder mobilty/stability work, push-ups, and dips.  A new article on T-Nation by Eric Cressey- The Seven Habits of Highly Defective Benchers - is a great article on how to bench the right way and some common mistakes people make.  I do think the bench press is highly overrated – but it can be a great exercise for putting on strength and size, and if you’re going to do it, do it the right!

-Also remaining consistent with mostly interval training for cardio.  Tababta burpees on Monday – Tabata intervals are simply twenty seconds of all-out effort followed by ten seconds of rest, repeated eight times.  The best, most efficient, and most intense four-minute cardio workout you’ll ever get!  You can do tabata sprints, squats, burpess, kettlebell swings, etc.  Gotta love burpees (that’s not me, by the way):
